I highly recommend and endorse Rebecca Long for City Council! She care so deeply about our city, is all about transparency, and has been so incredibly active throughout her campaign AND has put action behind her words. It’s easy for people to make big promises during election season, but actions speak louder than words and it’s time for some new faces on our city council to shake things up and really start advocating for the community. I’ve seen a lot of name dropping and misinformation from her opponent, and have seen Rebecca be forthcoming, action oriented, and working hard to listen to people in our community and really research what our city needs. She is driven, determined, and committed to our city. I can tell you with 100% confidence that Rebecca would be an asset to our city and that she has my vote. — Cassie Day

She will always be transparent and will maintain the integrity of her office by never telling mistruths in an effort to push her own agenda. Cheney deserves honesty and integrity--vote Rebecca Long for Cheney City Council. — Bonnie Mager

I love so much that Rebecca truly cares about ALL of our community and she has shown that even before she started this campaign! She proudly and openly supports our LGBTQ+ community in a town where people say some of the most hateful and backwards thinking things. Even after hate crimes have been committed against her in her own home. She listens to me and is genuinely concerned about the lack of accessibility in our community for our disabled community members! She cares that there is a lack of disabled parking in our downtown area and she cares that community events aren't made to be accessible for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues. She cares that marginalized and low income community members feel supported and heard. She cares that we have access to the supports that the people in our community needs. She even has gone so far as to think about having events in spaces that have fun non-alcoholic drinks. Which may seem trivial but it just speaks volumes to the thoughtfulness and care that she puts into everything she does! She deeply wants this community to feel supportive of every single person in it!! As a person that literally exists at a crossroads of intersectionality in every possible way, I feel completely seen and heard by Rebecca. I fully endorse Rebecca Long. Cheney deserves a change and a person on our city council that advocates for all of us. Please vote for all of us by voting for Rebecca this election! — Rebekka Shelp
The Cheney City Council needs young people and new ideas, and Rebecca will be a voice for many who are not presently represented on the Council. In addition she can build bridges between Eastern Washington University and the rest of the Cheney community as she graduated from EWU and is also a homeowner.
